Interest Grows in Glasgow Parkour Coaching Ahead of 2014 Commonwealth Games

Easyspace, one of the UK’s largest domain name registrars and web hosting companies and part of iomart Group plc, is providing web support for a free running club involved in the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Glasgow Parkour Coaching is one of the organisations tasked with forming the Commonwealth Youth Circus which will perform to crowds across Scotland as the Queen’s Baton Relay makes its way to Glasgow for the opening of the Games next July.

Chris Grant, Founder and Owner of Glasgow Parkour Coaching, said: “It’s a very exciting time for us and as a result of our involvement in Glasgow 2014 we’ve had a lot more interest in the free running classes we run. Our website is now getting more than 40,000 hits a month and we’ve got over 120 people attending our weekly classes both indoors and outdoors.”

Easyspace provides domain names and web hosting for Glasgow Parkour Coaching and for Roots of Movement, a national organisation Chris set up to support the growth of Parkour grassroots events throughout Scotland. The web hosting packages include a free domain name, unlimited bandwidth and up to 50GB storage as well as up to 200 mailboxes and MySQL Databases, all backed by UK based customer support.

Chris continues: “The great thing about being with Easyspace is that I can pick and mix my hosting and get a new domain name quickly for one-off events we’re running. I also travel abroad to teach classes but I can easily manage the website using the control panel – the FTP tool makes it quick and easy to upload content wherever I happen to be in the world.”
