The nominees have gone through an exhaustive process of investigation by an esteemed panel of judges and over last eight years these awards have become one of the most coveted accolades within the industry.
The Partnering for Innovation Award recognises a winning partnership alliance between two technology companies that has met and exceeded the joint objectives of both parties profitably. Netintelligence has been jointly nominated with Third Gear LLC for the Safekeeper project.
Safekeeper is the recently launched family internet protection software designed to keep predators at bay. Safekeeper is currently only available in the US, where Megan’s Law permits convicted child sex offenders to be publicly identified. A ‘Predator Alert’ feature in the Safekeeper software allows parents to see pictures, records and addressed of perverts within a specified zip code. Additionally, the desktop-based package allows parents to set detailed parameters for their child’s internet use, including restricting access to harmful websites, monitoring instant messaging, and can even shut down a computer after a given period of time to ensure youngsters don’t spend all day surfing the net.
Other finalists in this category include: Macfarlane Telesystems, Lagan Technologies & Oracle.
The winners will be announced at a Gala Ceremony, taking place at the London Hilton on Park Lane on Tuesday 13 March 2007.
